Community education

No To Violence supports community organising and community development activities that facilitate opportunities for men to take a stand against male violence against women and children.

One of the main ways in which we do this is through the White Ribbon Day campaign, where men can organise and participate in activities that encourage other men to think and talk about the issues rather than remaining silent. For further information, see the White Ribbon Day campaign on the Men’s Referral Service website.

No To Violence and the Men’s Referral Service also operate the Community Educators Team, where some of the service’s most experienced telephone counsellors are available to provide talks to community-based groups and professional networks about responding to male family violence. Read more about our community educators on the Men’s Referral Service website.
